The client contacted me as they needed a page developed in Squarespace from a Figma file. The design required a large amount of custom code as there were changes to the mobile site and various design tweaks that weren't available readily on Squarespace.For the development I worked closely with the client, updating them throughout the process and working to their tight deadline.
- Design blog post template that matches general design of the rest of the site
- Use custom code to automatically update copyright notice in footer
- Remove 'previous' and 'next' commands from bottom of blog posts
- Use embedding code to feature a Spotify playlist(picture 3 below)
- Use custom code to add anchor navigation at the top of the page, separate from main navigation(picture 1 below). This navigation should change from 1 line to 2 lines on mobile (picture 5 below)
- Use custom code to change the text in the newsletter sign up box to 'email' instead of 'email address'
- Use custom code to add a search icon in the header bar (no longer available in Squarespace sites)
- Add in custom fonts
- Use custom code to change the arrows displayed on carousel list of blog posts (picture 2 below) and more custom code to ensure they display correctly on mobile (picture 4 below).
