Connect Google Workspace to Squarespace

By connecting Google Workspace to your Squarespace account you can have a gmail address using your own custom domain (info@yourdomain.co.uk instead of yourname@gmail.co.uk for example). You can also access other features like Google Drive and Google Calendar. Another great perk is that with some plans, you’ll get the first year of Google Workspace for free when you sign up through your Squarespace account (check eligibility here).

Am I eligible?

  • You must have a Squarespace site in either 7.0 or 7.1

  • You must have a custom domain

  • You must live in an supported country

  • You can’t use a domain that’s been connected to Google Workspace before

  • You can’t have another domain connected to Google Workspace through your account (1 Google Workspace account per each Squarespace account)

Click save and continue and then add your card details. Review the purchase and then confirm payment.

You’ll receive a message saying your Google workspace registration is processing and once it’s complete you’ll be able to log into your new Google Workspace panel. To log in with your new email address you’ll receive an email with a temporary password (subject line of this email will be Welcome to Google Workspace). The first time you log in it will prompt you to change this to a secure password and accept the terms and conditions. You then just need to verify your domain* and you’re good to go!

*If you registered your domain with Squarespace your domain will be verified automatically (they will fill in the missing MX records). If you registered through a third party like GoDaddy you will receive email instructions on how to add the missing MX records to your domain. You need to do this in order to receive emails at your new email address.
